What type of wood do you use?
We use clear vetrical-grain Douglas-fir. We have a limited stock of reclaimed fir which is available for an additional fee.

Do you use insulated glass?
Insulated glass is usually too heavy and thick for the existing weights and sash. In addition, the majority of heat loss around windows comes from air infiltration, rather than heat transfer through the glass. Therefore, we recommend using weatherstripping and storm windows, instead of insulated glass, to create energy efficiency as well as noise reduction.

Do you keep any windows in stock?
All of our windows are custom-made. Lead time is generally three to four weeks.

What type of joinery do you use?
We use moritse and tenon joinery.
